The 4th of June 2016 witnessed another luminary visiting the Providence College campus. Professor Timothy Jacob Jensen, group CEO and chief designer at Jacob Jensen Design, along with his colleague Marijn Beije (managing director of Jacob Jensen Design's Bangkok studio) paid a visit to the campus and delivered a talk on Scandinavian design.
The afternoon saw academics, professionals and students of design from various institutions attend the talk and interact with professor Jensen.
Timothy Jensen is the son of the late Jacob Jensen, the world renowned designer whose studio has been involved in the design and development of some of the world's most iconic brands and products.
JJD's design language is unique and encompasses the serene simplicity of Scandinavian design.
Providence College principal, Dr Santhosh Mathew, welcomed the audience to the talk which was concluded with closing remarks by colelge director, Dr KG Balakrishnan.
College chairperson Smt Mariamma George presented each of the guests with an Aranmulla kannadi as a memento and token of appreciation for their visit.
Providence College of Engineering and it's management team are grateful to Prof Jensen and his colleague for taking time out of their trip to India to visit Chengannur.
